McHenry High School District 156: 70,000 SF addition and renovation

This project included renovating the original high school and adding a 64,000 SF building serving as McHenry Community High School District’s upper campus (Center for Science, Technology, and Industry). The addition comprises four floors featuring:

• 11 state-of-the-art career and technology labs
• 9 new math classrooms/labs
• 11 science classroom/labs spaces (including an Anatomage–as of August 2021, this was one of four in existence in IL)

The project began in June 2019 and was completed in July 2021. The project team included: Ian Lamp, Project Principal; Greg Bohlin, Project Manager; Rick Chandler, Superintendent; Tom McGrath, Preconstruction.
