Dr. Leroy A. Mitchell Elementary School – Repurposed Education Facility

This project includes 46,984 square feet of building additions and 23,116 square feet of renovations to repurpose a former nursing education facility into the new Dr. Leroy A. Mitchell Elementary School for DeKalb Community Unit School District 428. The work transforms an existing campus into a modern elementary learning environment through comprehensive renovations and new construction. The project supports long‑term educational needs while efficiently reusing an existing structure.
