Lake Zurich High School Interior Renovations

Lake Zurich Community Unit School District 95 – Lake Zurich High School Interior Renovations

Lake Zurich High School underwent a 67,500‑square‑foot, two‑phase interior renovation, transforming the campus into a modern learning environment designed to support collaboration, project‑based instruction, and 21st‑century education. The project modernized the school’s Learning Media Center into a flexible Learning and Innovation Hub, followed by renovations to STEAM instructional spaces and critical life‑safety upgrades throughout the building.

Phase I focused on reimagining the traditional library into a dynamic hub featuring collaborative zones, breakout rooms, technology‑integrated study areas, and transparent learning spaces that promote visibility and student engagement. Phase II expanded these concepts into STEAM classrooms, fabrication and innovation labs, and supportive academic spaces designed to foster creativity, interdisciplinary learning, and real‑world problem solving.

Additional scope included renovations to the B‑Wing and Attendance Office, along with building‑wide life‑safety improvements, all coordinated to keep the school operational during construction. The work was carefully phased to minimize disruption and maintain a safe learning environment throughout the academic year.

Following the successful interior renovations, the District continued capital reinvestment at Lake Zurich High School, with a full roof replacement completed in 2022, further extending the facility’s longevity. (16500)
