Huntley High School Fine Arts Additions and Renovations

Huntley Community School District 158 –  Huntley High School Fine Arts Addition and Renovation

Lamp Incorporated served as Construction Manager for the Huntley High School Fine Arts Addition and Renovation in Huntley, Illinois, delivering a comprehensive expansion of the school’s arts facilities while maintaining a safe, fully operational campus.

The project included 9,850 square feet of new construction and 3,557 square feet of renovations to the existing building. The new addition houses dedicated spaces for the band room, black box theater, scene shop, and a new entry vestibule, while renovations modernized adjacent areas to support performance, instruction, and production functions.

Designed to integrate seamlessly with the existing campus, the project required extensive coordination of structural, architectural, acoustic, theatrical, and MEP systems, as well as specialty lighting, audio‑visual infrastructure, and stage components. Construction was completed while school remained in session, demanding careful planning for student safety, traffic separation, dust control, and noise mitigation.

The completed fine arts addition enhances Huntley High School’s educational environment by providing flexible, high‑quality spaces that support music, theater, and creative expression—strengthening the school’s arts program for students and the broader community.
