Lamp Incorporated served as Construction Manager for the Salt Creek Rural Park District (SCRPD) Rose Park Improvements project, delivering a thoughtfully planned replacement facility that supports both park district operations and early childhood education. The project involved the construction of a new approximately 8,500-square-foot, single-story administration and preschool facility, along with extensive site improvements, while maintaining uninterrupted operations within the existing building throughout construction.

Located within a residential neighborhood in Palatine, Illinois, the project presented unique logistical challenges. The site is surrounded by single-family homes and accessed from a narrow local roadway, requiring careful planning to minimize disruptions to neighbors, staff, parents, and preschool students. Lamp coordinated construction activities, site safety, traffic management, and phased sequencing to ensure continued access and operations during the entire project.

The new Rose Park facility was designed to provide modern administrative offices, preschool learning environments, multi-purpose community spaces, enhanced accessibility, and upgraded building systems that will serve the district for decades. Following the new building’s occupancy, the existing administration center was demolished, and the site was restored and integrated into the park setting through final grading, landscaping, and site improvements.

As Construction Manager, Lamp provided preconstruction services, budgeting, scheduling, bidding, trade coordination, safety oversight, and construction administration. The project required detailed coordination among multiple trade contractors, extensive site utility work, new parking and pedestrian improvements, and phased demolition, all while maintaining a safe environment adjacent to active park district programs.

The completed Rose Park Improvements project strengthens Salt Creek Rural Park District’s ability to serve residents by creating a modern, efficient, and community-focused facility that supports recreation, education, and public services in a welcoming park environment.
