Lamp Incorporated Celebrates the FVAGC 65th Anniversary
In 1952, Clifford Lamp was one of the founding fathers of the FVAGC (Fox Valley Associated General Contractors), a suburban Chicago regional chapter of the Associated General Contractors of America. The FVAGC provides networking opportunities, social activities, and assistance to general contractors who are members. Recently, Lamp Incorporated celebrated the 65th anniversary of the organization at the FVAGC Awards banquet.
At the event, Lamp Incorporated received three “Project of the Year” awards:
Construction Management Project Under $5 million—South Elgin Public Works Facility
Construction Management Project Over $5 million—Johnsburg 3-8 Building/District Administrative Office Additions and Renovations
New Construction Project Under $3 million—New Banking Facility for Aurora Bank and Trust
Lamp Incorporated has been very active with the FVAGC since its founding. Past Lamp Incorporated presidents include:
- Clifford Lamp—1952-1955
- LaMar Kidwell—1962-1964
- Earl Lamp—1974-1975
- Eugene Lamp—1994-1995
- Ian Lamp—2016 to present
Currently, Steve Lamp is Chairman of the Education Committee. Ian and Steve are Clifford Lamp’s grandsons.
